Olympi
cave, as we have mentioned in the introduction, is found 8 Km
southern of the medieval settlement of Olympi. The village is
located 31 Km southern of Chios town and almost 6 Km after Pyrgi
village on the road to Mesta.
This group of settlements , as well as Kalamoti, Armolia and Vessa
constitute the "Mastic" villages (Mastichochoria) of
south Chios, where is produced the famous masticha.
