The
chronology of various samples of carbonic materials (stalagmite
sediments) of the cave from the Laboratory of Nuclear
Physics "Dimokritos" showed that ancients than
these was created before 230 thousand years. Another sample
was dated in the 107 thousand years. These ages concern only
the specific shaping from where became the sampling and
not the whole cave, because there must be ancient cave
contents buried under the falls.
The date of the begging of the creation of a cave is
difficult and usually the combinations of the structures age
that were created before and after this. Theoretically in
Greece because of the intense realignments and the continuous
karstic caves are not bigger than 25 million years,
while its most likely the most caves to begin to take shape
5-1 million years before. |
